Caledonian Rock Shop is shaped by Dagmara Lesiow-Laszczewska-a geologist, lapidary, lifelong collector and generous guide to the mineral world.
Thirty years of looking closer.
Dagmara began collecting stones at around ten years old, then studied geology with a specialism in mineralogy and petrology. Her experience later expanded through jewellery, pawnbroking and lapidary work.
An Ayrshire agate find in 2016 helped set a new direction. Caledonian Rock Shop followed in 2018: a place where serious collecting knowledge could feel open, warm and unintimidating.
Today the showroom is both a shop and an educational cabinet-home to Scottish geology, global minerals, fossils, meteorites, fluorescent specimens and Dagmara's private malachite collection.
